About Grand Canyon West (Skywalk)

Grand Canyon West is operated by the Hualapai Tribe on tribal land along the canyon's western edge, separate from Grand Canyon National Park. The signature attraction is the Skywalk, a horseshoe-shaped glass bridge that extends 70 feet over a 4,000-foot drop, opened in 2007 and designed by Lochsa Engineering. The complex includes Eagle Point (Skywalk and tribal village), Guano Point (a former bat-guano mine with peninsular canyon views), and Hualapai Ranch. Tickets bundle shuttle access between the three points; the Skywalk is a separate add-on. Helicopter and rafting tours from Hualapai Ranch run additional fees. Fastest canyon view from Vegas — the drive is about 2 hours via US-93 and Pierce Ferry Road. National Park Service rules don't apply (no annual passes accepted). Cameras and phones are not permitted on the Skywalk itself; lockers are provided.
