Best Las Vegas Shows 2026: Cirque, Residencies & Magic

By VisitLasVegas.city EditorialApr 17, 20265 min read

The State of the Strip Stage in 2026

Vegas shows have never been better, more expensive, or more varied. Between the Cirque du Soleil residencies, the immersive Sphere residencies, magic shows, adult revues, and ongoing concert residencies at the Colosseum and Dolby Live, there's more headline entertainment running any given night than Broadway.

This guide is the short list — the shows we'd send a friend to on their first trip — plus a few that are easier to skip. If you're planning a first trip end-to-end, start with the First-Timer's Guide to Las Vegas.

The Cirque du Soleil Residencies

Cirque runs more shows in Vegas than in any other city on earth. The productions are genuinely different — pick the one that matches your mood.

O by Cirque du Soleil

The aquatic Cirque show at Bellagio. Arguably the most visually stunning show in the city. 25+ years in, still sells out. Book this first.

Ka by Cirque du Soleil

The action-cinema Cirque at MGM Grand. Giant rotating stage, martial arts, pyrotechnics. The best "take dad" pick.

Mystere by Cirque du Soleil

The original Vegas Cirque, still running at Treasure Island. Pure circus — acrobatics, clowns, and a surprisingly good family option.

Michael Jackson One

The MJ jukebox Cirque at Mandalay Bay. Stronger than most jukebox concepts; the choreography and sound design are excellent.

Mad Apple

Cirque's New-York-themed show at New York-New York. More variety hour than classic Cirque — magic, stand-up, acrobatics, a full bar built into the lobby.

Magic Shows

David Copperfield

The GOAT at MGM Grand. Intimate room, full illusion show, and he still brings it night after night.

Piff the Magic Dragon

Comedy magic at Flamingo. The dragon costume is the gag; the magic is actually sharp. Bring friends who don't take themselves too seriously.

Mat Franco

Magic at the LINQ. A past winner of America's Got Talent. Good for a family-friendly magic pick. See all options on our shows page.

Adult Revues

Absinthe

Circus-meets-cabaret at Caesars Palace. R-rated, in-the-round, and unlike anything else in the city. Not for conservative grandparents. For everyone else, book it immediately.

Magic Mike Live

The Channing-Tatum-produced men's revue at Sahara. Better choreography than you expect, and the room is set up for a bachelorette-style night.

X Burlesque

Late-night revue at Flamingo. Long-running, straightforward premise, affordable ticket.

Atomic Saloon Show

Spiegelworld's saucy Western at Grand Canal Shoppes. Same irreverent energy as Absinthe, lower-key setting.

Production Shows & Theater

Blue Man Group

At Luxor. The Vegas version of the classic multimedia show. Genuine all-ages winner.

Tournament of Kings

Medieval dinner theater at Excalibur. Eat with your hands while knights joust. Ridiculous, fun, great for families.

Awakening

The theatrical fantasy show at Wynn. Production values for days.

Sphere Residencies

Postcard from Earth at Sphere

Darren Aronofsky's original film inside Sphere. The room is the show. Runs on matinee hours most days.

Sphere Music Residencies

Sphere hosts rotating residencies — U2, Dead & Company, Eagles, and ongoing announcements. Residency dates change fast; check before booking a trip around one.

Concert Residencies

Vegas hosts more residencies than any city in the country. The venues worth knowing:

  • The Colosseum at Caesars Palace — Adele, Usher, Rod Stewart era anchor
  • Dolby Live at Park MGM — Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Kylie
  • Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World — Carrie Underwood, Enrique Iglesias
  • Sphere — the residency event of the era
  • T-Mobile Arena / Dolby Live — for touring shows around fight weekends
  • Which Shows Are Worth the Money

If we had to rank by "book this first" value:

  • Absolute first bookings: O, Absinthe, whichever residency is running at Sphere
  • Next tier: Ka, David Copperfield, Awakening
  • Fun but skippable: the lower-budget Strip production shows
  • Ticket Tips

  • Buy direct from the resort box office or the show's official site. Ticketmaster fees stack.
  • Last-minute deals via the Tix4Tonight booths can work for mid-tier shows, rarely for O/Absinthe.
  • Mid-week beats weekend on almost every show — both for price and availability.
  • Dress codes matter at Sphere and at Wynn. Smart casual gets you through.
  • Arrive 30 minutes early. Most venues have themed lobbies that are part of the experience.
  • Pairing Shows with Dinner

Great Strip show + dinner combinations:

  • OPicasso at Bellagio before the show
  • AbsintheBacchanal Buffet or Nobu at Caesars Palace
  • KaJoel Robuchon at MGM Grand
  • David Copperfield → same building, same casino — easy night
