About Sphere

Sphere opened in September 2023 on a parcel behind the Venetian Resort, the result of a $2.3 billion build by Sphere Entertainment Co. (the Madison Square Garden spinoff). At 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide, it is the largest spherical structure ever built. The exterior Exosphere is wrapped in 580,000 square feet of programmable LED, making the building itself a constantly changing piece of advertising and public art visible from anywhere on the east Strip. Inside, the venue seats 17,500 and is wrapped from floor to ceiling in a 16K resolution LED screen — the highest-resolution display in any venue on Earth. U2 christened the room with a 40-show residency in 2023–2024. Subsequent residencies and the immersive film "Postcard From Earth" by Darren Aronofsky have rotated through. Tickets for the residency shows run $300+ on the low end; the immersive film is the more accessible option at around $50–$100. Best photo of the exterior is from the Linq Promenade across the boulevard.
