About Golden Steer Steakhouse
Golden Steer Steakhouse opened in 1958 on Sahara Avenue a few blocks west of the Strip, and has operated continuously in the same building with the same dining-room aesthetic for more than six decades. It is the oldest continuously operating steakhouse in Las Vegas. The Rat Pack booth — Sinatra and Dean Martin's regular seats — is still installed in the main dining room with original brass plaques. Chateaubriand is carved tableside; bananas foster is flambéed tableside; the bar program leans heavily on old-school stirred drinks. Service is heavy on captains and back-waiters. Reservations essential, often two to four weeks out. Dress code is enforced despite the off-Strip location. The time-capsule dining experience is arguably more the point than the steaks themselves.
