About High Roller
The High Roller opened in 2014 as the centerpiece of the Linq Promenade between Flamingo and Harrah's. At 550 feet, it was the tallest observation wheel in the world until the 2021 opening of Ain Dubai, which now holds the title. The wheel's 28 climate-controlled cabins each hold 40 passengers and complete one full revolution in 30 minutes. Sunset is the marquee ride window — the strip lights up while you're still high enough to see across the valley to the mountains. The "Happy Half Hour" ride includes an in-cabin open bar, which sounds gimmicky but is the easiest upsell to justify. Buy timed-entry tickets in advance to skip the standby line on weekend evenings.
