Absinthe opened in 2011 as a pop-up Spiegeltent production on the forecourt of Caesars Palace, intended as a short run. Four years later, operator Spiegelworld negotiated a permanent installation of the tent and made the production a Strip fixture. It has since expanded to a larger Spiegeltent that still sits between Caesars Palace and Las Vegas Boulevard. The Gazillionaire (played by Voki Kalfayan) hosts a hybrid of circus acrobatics, stand-up comedy, and variety cabaret from a round stage that seats 650. Content is explicitly adult — 18+ only in practice, with liberal profanity and sexually explicit humor. Rose, the show's tattooed co-host, serves as Gazillionaire's foil. 90 minutes, no intermission. Premium seats ring the round stage at arm's length from performers — expect direct interaction.
