Paris Las Vegas opened in September 1999 on the site of the former Dunes. The half-scale Eiffel Tower — whose full-scale replica was blocked by the FAA for airport-flight-path reasons — and the Parisian streetscape facade made the resort one of the most recognizable on the Strip. The 2,916 rooms sit in a curved tower stepped back from the boulevard so the Eiffel Tower remains the property's foreground. A 2022 renovation refreshed the room stock and brought in the Versailles Tower product at the high end. Caesars Entertainment owns and operates Paris alongside the connected Bally's/Horseshoe property next door. Bally's was rebranded as the Horseshoe in 2022 during a Caesars portfolio realignment.
